Obama’s campaign staff developed a strong Web presence throughout his run for the presidency, and now President-Elect Barack Obama (oh, that’s fun to type!) has launched Change.gov to make for a smooth internet transition to the White House. The site, complete with a countdown to the inauguration, allows you to learn more about the presidential team and policies, follow the transitional process to Pennsylvania Ave, and share your ideas.
Just as the previous site helped galvanize supporters (and raise a pretty penny), the new one will hopefully encourage people to increase their involvement in the political process, as well as offer transparency and a platform to make your voice heard. The website invites the public to share their stories and visions and learn about volunteer and employment opportunities. Obama and Biden certainly face many challenges in the years to come, they could sure use all the help they can get.
takepart by sharing your vision of a better world with President-Elect Obama.

Following the defeat of Sarah Palin, ardent Monty Python fans came out to show their support for the world’s best Palin….Michael!
To celebrate the national treasure that is Michael Palin (and the fact that the hilarious Monty Python’s Flying Circus TV show is just out as a new DVD box set), Singing Lumberjacks, Spanish Inquisitors, Mounties, Silly Walkers and Holy Grail Knights took to the streets to support Michael.
The demo marched through Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and on to the US embassy (pictured), picking up supporters along the way.
The ‘There’s Only One Palin’ protest inspired everyone to reclaim our favourite Palin’s name!
