As Danny mentioned, thousands of supporters of same-sex marriage protested in West Hollywood last night and took to the streets again today in response to the passing of Proposition 8 that amends the state constitution to limit marriage to a man and a woman.
Lawyers for No on 8 have already filed a lawsuit.
Some Participants attended the protests last night and the one happening right now in Hollywood. Here are videos and photos:

Are there protests this weekend, how can i know whats going on?
I think the best way to get someone’s attention is by hitting their wallet. LDS Church funded the majority of the “Yes on 8″ campaign. They used their funding to influence legislation. This is a clear violation of the regulations governing 501(c)(3) organizations. File complaints with the IRS and get the church’s tax-exempt status revoked.

I hear there’s something brewing on Saturday in Silverlake at Sunset Junction.
Good luck getting their status removed they did not use 1 dollar of the churches money. It all came from individuals, not the church. The money was not even collected by the church it was sent by individuals directly to the yes on 8 campain. You make it sound as if the people were forced to contribute. Did you contribute to the no on 8 campain? Why? Because you believe in its cause not because someone forced you to. You will find that not one dime of the money that came from MEMBERS of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was forced.
And just for the record, the church of Jesus Christ was driven from the United States in its early years because the people and the government would not recognize polygamy. The United States recognized and enforced marriage as one man and one woman then and forced them to leave. They went many years living outside the United States until the practice of polygamy was stopped and then and only then did Utah become a state in this so tolerant county that values religious freedoms. The FLDS Church still practices polygamy and the government does not recognize those unions either. At least you have rights as a domestic partnership and no one is pointing a gun at your loved one and telling you to get out or die! People are tolerant of your right to live together, but marriage is not a right it is a privlige if it were I could go to the government and sue them because I am not married and it is my right.
