While I was tempted to stay glued to my television last night, I wisely chose to head to downtown to join Causecast’s “I Voted!” Party at the supercool Edison here in Los Angeles. If you haven’t checked out Causecast yet, do so. They provide an amazing platform to connect and inspire people around a multitude of issues. And if you haven’t checked out the Edison yet, get out your Roaring 20’s duds and step back in time with a delicious cocktail in hand.
As timing would have it, I was about to order pizza nextdoor at Pitfire Pizza when CNN suddenly projected Obama as President elect. Not exactly where I imagined myself to be upon hearing the great news, but it was exciting nonetheless. The restaurant erupted with cheers and I ordered my first pizza in the new world.
Pitfire had joined Causecast and the Edison in hosting the party, along with Tom’s shoes, which admirably donates a pair of shoes to a child in need evertime you purchase a pair. So after soaking in Obama’s inspiring acceptance speech and McCain’s gracious concession, we put on our dancing shoes and headed down to the Edison to celebrate with Causecast:
