According to Nicholas Kristoff of the NYTimes, in a recent unscientific poll of professional historians, the majority of them ranked George W. Bush the worst president in the history of our great nation and 91% of those survey said his presidency was a “failure.”
The massive devastation from the Bush regime of the past 8 years will be with us for many generations. From the shredding of our constitution to the war in Iraq to the economic meltdown to the dismal environmental policies to failed educational programs, the past 8 years have been of no benefit to the vast majority of Americans. The only ones who will be sad to see him go are the war and oil executives who’ve earned money hand over fist under his policies.
The stench of George W. Bush will be with us for a long time and will take the cooperation and determination of all citizens to work together to get this country back on track. And, while we all might want to make Bush and his cronies a distant memory, we cannot forget what they’ve done to us. Which brings me to the beautiful liberal enclave of San Francisco. The city realizes that Bush’s policies make us gag, just like a sewage treatment plant. Indeed, the fall-out of his presidency will hang around us ust like a bad smell. So, the city will be voting on a proposition on election day to rename their sewage treatment plant the George W. Bush sewage treatment plant. While no one will forget the horrendous policies of the past 8 years, the sewage plant can provide a bit of humor to an otherwise very bleak time.
