I am thrilled to tell you that federal appeals court in Atlanta granted Troy Davis a stay of execution for his originally scheduled execution on Oct 27th. Millions of people worldwide have spoken out against this injustice and last weekend thousands of people in Europe and the United States participated in a Global Day of Action for Troy Davis. The European Union issued a statement calling for his execution to be halted. While all of this is great news, we are now waiting to hear from a federal appeals court which will determine if his case warrants a new hearing. takepart to stay informed and active of Troy’s case.
