Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has outdone even herself with recent comments on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” on MSNBC. The Congresswoman has been following in the footsteps of the infamous Wisconsin Republican, Senator Joe McCarthy, for some time with her alarming rhetoric, including these choice comments about the aims of liberal democrats:
“This is their agenda. I know it is hard to believe, it’s hard to fathom — but this is ‘mission accomplished’ for them. They want Americans to take transit and move to the inner cities. They want Americans to move to the urban core, live in tenements, [and] take light rail to their government jobs. That’s their vision for America.”
But if you thought that was bad check out this new McCarthyesque interview:
A media investigation into who is Pro-American and who is Anti-American in Congress? And who is to conduct this, Fox News’s Roger Ailes, Bill O’Reilly & Sean Hannity I assume?
For some real kicks, check her out trying to flip flop about what she said here:
The comments have already backfired however, big time. Bachmann’s Democratic challenger in the November Congressional election for Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, Elwyn Tinklenberg has raised more than $500,000 in campaign donations over the Internet. Joe McCarthy was actually from Wisconsin, not Minnesota. I actually do live in Minnesota myself, and am embarrassed by Representative Bachmann’s comments. The voters in her district should do everyone a favor and fail to re-elect her!
My apologies T, for writing Tailgunner Joe was from your fair state. It has been corrected.
