The Google, those wunderkinds of Internet search, are turning 10 years old this month and, as is their way, they have presents in store for all of us. The remarkably successful Silicon Valley based technology company is starting a $10 Million program to implement ideas that will “change the world by helping as many people as possible.”

The initiative, called Project 10 to the 100th (As in 100th power. Exponentially speaking. What do you want? These guys were Stanford Math Wizards.), will be calling for ideas from the public that will improve people’s lives. The ideas can be big or small, cheap or mucho expensivo, but they should be geared to try and help as many people’s lives as possible. Submissions will be taken up until October 20th, at which time Google will select what it considers to be the 100 Top Ideas. Google users will then vote for the Top 20 ideas out of the 100. Finally a panel of judges will select from these 20 finalists the Five Ideas that will get funding.
