Black Eagle Wines: Hungry For Change Posted by Wendy Cohen on July 30, 2008 at 4:04 pm

Every bottle, every drop, of Black Eagle Wines benefits the members of the United Farm Workers and their families. That’s something I’ll raise a glass to!

Black Eagle Wines is a new vintage from Napa Valley  founded on the principles of the UFW and from harvest to production, is produced under UFW contracts.

Black Eagle Wines is a reminder that we have something to celebrate. While the vast majority of farm workers continue to work in an abusive system, there are thousands of farm workers whose lives the UFW has changed. The farm workers who produce Black Eagle Wines have the dignity of a union contract, health insurance and a pension said Arturo Rodriguez, President of the United Farm Workers.

Cesar Chavez founded the United Farm Workers to organize people around helping themselves earn a better living without relying on government assistance. Each time you purchase a bottle of Black Eagle Wines, you help the UFW continue its organizing efforts.

So next time you’re having a party, want to gift or just want to enjoy a drink with your dinner, think of Black Eagle Wines. “When you raise a glass, you raise a flag.”

Thanks for the post! Since the profits from every sale go directly back to the United Farm Workers, we rely on word-of-mouth and social marketing to generate sales. Together, Si Se Puede!
