I love cooking shows and the Food Network and all that good stuff, so I’m pretty excited to tell you that Emeril Green, the new series starring Mr. Emeril Lagasse himself, will premiere on Planet Green tonight. Â And not just one episode, either. Â Starting at 8pm (or 7pm in the Central Time Zone, which is like Indiana or Tahiti or something), Planet Green will be airing six straight all-new episodes of Emeril Green. Â Here’s where I would say “Bam!” or some other Emerilism to humorously tell you I find this news exciting, but let’s just leave that part out today. Â Anyhow, Planet Green’s website describes the show as such:
On the show, Emeril shares his philosophy for fresh, locally grown foods and inspires consumers by using high-quality produce, seafood and meats to solve their food dilemmas. Set in Whole Foods Market, Lagasse enrolls the store’s knowledgeable team and other food experts to help real-life cooking-challenged individuals learn about and hand-pick the best foods. After shopping with each individual, Chef Lagasse prepares a meal with each individual that demonstrates the convenience and ease of using fresh ingredients in everyday meals.
Looking over the show descriptions for the evening, it looks like the program will be a lot of fun and help people make healthy eating choices while getting a lot of food that tastes delicious. Â You can takepart here by going to the “Healthy Foods” section of the Planet Green website and learn ways to keep your diet all good and whatnot.
While we’re on the subject of food and cooking shows and things like that, I also strongly urge you to visit Sam the Cooking Guy’s website. Â He’s got a show that’s only available in a few markets (these ones, to be exact), but the website has got great recipes and, more importantly, videos of him making the food. Â Seriously, the best cooking show on TV, even if it has nothing to do with going green or being healthy.

My good luck to catch Mr. Lagasse stir frying peppers and onions; my bad luck to miss the i ngredients for the sauce. All I caught was the soysauce, Mirin, and sugar minus the quantities. Have I overlooked the spot for the recipe? Can anyone help? I loved what I saw of the show.
This is Emeril at his best!
He is a great teacher explaining techniques so simply and making the process very easy to follow. All his dishes looked delicious and nutritous; I can’t wait to prepare them myself. Because our family is really commited to eating healthy, we are all excited about Emeril Green. This is my favorite new T.V. show and definitely my favorite cooking show!!!
