Mercedes-Benz has announced plans to cut gasoline powered automobiles out of its lineup entirely by the year 2015. The German automaker that brought you the internal combustion engine powered car, with Karl Benz’s landmark invention in 1886, is setting its sights on the next innovations in automotive technology for the 21st Century and beyond. Mercedes intends to invest over $14 Billion before 2014 in research & development on biofuel powered engines, hydrogen fuel and clean electric powered plug in cars and their necessary accompanying battery technology innovations.
In the near term, Mercedes is planning on releasing its F700, which debuted at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, powered by a turbocharged DiesOtto engine that gets mileage of 44 MPG in a luxury car. The DiesOtto is an engine that provides virtually the same fuel efficiency as diesel out of gasoline without having to fit the machinery with the expensive after treatment systems which can drive up the cost of diesel car production. The F700 will also be able to run on biofuels.

Thank goodness.
Some global CEO’s are hearing the call!

Written for Al Gore
The Internal Combustion Engine, i, c, e, for short,
Is a killer and polluter, but man uses it for sport.
So he has trouble dealing with what he must hear,
That to use it is killing us. Will he at least shed a tear?
Let’s use our sun and the wind. Let our farmers grow crops.
Then we will surely survive, as the carbon content drops.
We have a moral imperative, to do the right thing;
To save our great planet. Listen as all alarms ring!
The pole ice is melting, the bears losing ground.
We have done major damage, since we saw earth as round.
A truth has been revealed, by a man on a mission.
Let’s get our foot off the pedal, give him our permission
To redirect our future. Lets follow Al Gore.
The correct balance of nature, he will help us to restore.
Gold is not that funny, its our youth that are.
So lets spend all our money to put carbon in a jar.
Internal combustion engines are such dirty things.
They run cars and factories and puts planes up on wings.
The carnage they create, and the pollution in the air.
Means we have to save our children, we have so little to spare.
For through them we are immortal, they give us loving lives.
We must only cut so much, then save the rest for future knives.
We should be leaving this planet with love but without a trace.
Now that An Inconvenient Truth is staring us in the face.

Author permanently cite his sources, argumenting his words every time. Does he miss anything is the question I say and NO comes the automatic answer to mind. Handsome color approach for the blog. I am catched by pithy and cranky previews that attract me into the post. I must vouch a certain master at work. It’s great how the ads are allied and pleasing to the posts. I love how the blog is brimming with fresh ideas and thoughts. I like the sarcasm the author has to show. I adore the established reach this site has in terms of its auditor from around the world. I propose this to anyone who desires to dwell into this topic. The blog posts keeps you hooked until the very end. The resolution of pictures in the blog is impeccable. The author does not pull back, he gets directly to the point. There’s a certain feel about the site that i enjoy very much.
