Taste of Chicago returns to the Windy City Friday with its incredible variety of Chicago cuisine. The annual celebration is not only the biggest festival in Chicago but also the largest food festival in the world. Sixty-five vendors plus the rotating vendors at the Chef’s Table will provide Chicagoans and visitors with an assortment of eats ranging from such local delicacies as Chicago-style deep dish pizza, Italian Beef sandwiches, Polish sausages and Chicago-style Hot Dogs.
But it’s not all fatty foods at this year’s event. Taste of Chicago is at least trying to make its fare a little healthier by urging each vendor to include at least one healthy option on its menu - although admittedly some try sneaking by with a fried vegetable or two.
Should you happen to overdo it at this year’s Taste of Chicago, you can takepart in finding healthier lifestyle solutions after the festivities are done by checking out the Organic Consumers Association.

Chicago, IL - June 27,2008
Who would think about serving pizza in Chicago that was not great tasting…..well not us! Connie’s Pizza is expanding the breadth of it’s product offering, through a strategic partnership with Made in Nature, with a great tasting organic pizza.
Made in Nature was the natural choice, when Connie’s Pizza decided to develop an organic pizza. Made in Nature started as an organic company nearly 20 years ago and has made a commitment to only produce certified organic products. Every product under the Made in Nature brand and every ingredient in every product… is all organic.
“We are thrilled to continue my family’s passion to bring joy to the hearts and homes of many with our classic family recipes. Quality has always been the main ingredient in everything we do. Our dedication to providing the highest quality pizza is consistently demostrated and the Made in Nature organic pizza is no exception. It’s Organic & Delicious!†said Marc Stolfe, President of Connie’s Restaurant Group and Connie’s Naturals, the sales partner for Made in Nature organic pizzas and prepared foods.
“Made in Nature is extremely excited about the newly launched pizzas†said Chris Coffman, Vice President and Managing Partner of Made in Nature. “We believe that a ‘Truly Organic Pizza,’ is a largely untapped area of opportunity and will provide consumers with the prepared food options they desire to complement their organic lifestyle†added Mr. Coffman. “Flavorful organic products will remain the primary focus for Made in Nature for all future product and concept launches†added Mr. Coffman.
The Made in Nature Certified Organic Pizza is the only organic pizza at the Taste of Chicago. The Made in Nature Certified Organic Gourmet Margherita Pizza is available at the Connie’s Pizza location at Columbus & Congress.
