Chicago’s Mayor Daley has just announced the theme of the city’s summer reading program: Read Green, Live Green. The program, which runs through the month of August, will offer books, reading tours and performances for both adults and kids on climate change, energy conservation and even farming. Summer reading programs are all about getting kids to reconnect with the magic of books, and this one in particular hopes to have a greener impact on kids and their eco-habits. Kudos to Chicago for putting the green back in reading!
