Little Sioux, Iowa. A Tornado ripped through the Little Sioux Scout Ranch killing 4 teenage boy scouts and injuring over 40 people.

Josh Fennen, 13; Sam Thomsen, 13, and Ben Petrzilka, 14, all of Omaha, Nebraska; and Aaron Eilerts, 14, of Eagle Grove, Iowa all lost their lives.

Tornadoes also touched down in Kansas on Wednesday. Those tornadoes killed at least two people in northern Kansas, destroyed much of the small town of Chapman and caused extensive damage on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan.

I was so touched by the wonderful acheivements and character of these boys. They were great examples of giving , caring individuals. All adluts should stand up and take note of the examples these boys set within their comunities. My heart goes out to the families who have lost these boys. May God be with you all in this very sad time.

Having gone out with the scouts on hundreds of trips as a leader, nothing drives home the point of “Be Prepared” like going through an ordeal such as this. God bless these young men and the scout leaders that were there. An on line fundraiser has ben set up at http://www.cbdistro.com to benefit the victims and families that have been affected by this tragedy. Also, visit http://www.lawlorscustom.com to purchase your “Omaha Cares” T-Shirt. aplease help spread the word. The on line fundraiser runs through August 2008.
