Ring the bells and sound the alarms, it’s World Environment Day, today, right now! Â Unless you’re in Australia, and it was yesterday, and you missed it. Anyhow, to mark this extremely extreme occasion, I have penned some limericks. Enjoy.
There once was a man named Gene
Who had an idea so keen
“I just have to say
We should have a whole day
Dedicated to making Earth green!”
There once was a planet named Earth
That had quite a large girth
Not so much as Jupiter
But that planet’s much stupider
For here we have so much more mirth
There once was a man named Gore
As V.P. was a terrible bore
Who said, “Open your eyes
I now have a Peace Prize
And, hey, stop drilling offshore.”
There once was a man with a Hummer
Who drove it both Winter and Summer
But gas hit five dollars
And he hoots and he hollers
About how he couldn’t be dumber
Happy World Environment Day, everybody! takepart and learn all about it!
