Prince Charles Declares War On Global Warming Posted by Kerry Trueman on February 14, 2008 at 2:31 pm

Prince Charles has been a royal treehugger for decades, but his mission to halt the destruction of the world’s rainforests has taken on new urgency as the earth’s temperature rises. The heir to the British throne addressed the European Parliament today and “urged the international community to wage war against “the doomsday clock of climate change” “and to adopt “courageous and revolutionary” measures against the threat,” according to the TimesOnline:

In the simplest of terms, we have to find a way to make the forests worth more alive than dead. Unbelievable as it might seem, we are destroying our planet’s air-conditioning system. But the loss of biodiversity is also terrifying. It has been compared to burning down a library of previous knowledge without first reading the books”

Charles topped off his post-petroleum pep talk with a plea to Europe’s leaders to step up their efforts to tackle global warming:

“Some of the world’s best known and most powerful corporate leaders are now ahead ” in some cases way ahead ” of many political leaders in this debate. Determined and principled leadership has never been more needed. Surely, this is just the moment in history for which the European Union was created”

” The lives of billions of people depend on your response and none of us will be forgiven by our children and grandchildren if we falter and fail.

Thank you, Prince Charles!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you, your beautiful boys, and my heroine, your Mother.
I ROCKED with you, Lady Di, Van Morrison and many others in 1989 in Birmingham at your Trust Concert!
I flew Vancouver to Prestwick. I love your country and wish Canada would tighten the tie. Three cheers to you!

WELL DONE CHARLES!!!, the only famous figure who has the right information AND HAS ANNOUNCED IT. He knows how little time we have to save the planet. 18 months isnt long! The governments know, they are building bunkers to save there chosen few but it want do them any good because we need to change OURSELVES and the planet. We cannot escape the fruits of our actions. Those who live by the sword will die by the sword, no matter if 100’s of metres underground or in space. The planet is in the shape that its in because of our greed and selfishness, we must raise our level of consciousness in order to survive. God help us all.

Thanks Charles! Thanks Tim! ! Thanks to all who cares!!! With disasters going on worldwide, it’s time to act! The simplest way is to go veg! FOA’s report Livestock a major threat to environment stated very clearly - “According to a new report published by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the livestock sector generates more greenhouse gas emissions as measured in CO2 equivalent – 18 percent – than transport. It is also a major source of land and water degradation.

Says Henning Steinfeld, Chief of FAO’s Livestock Information and Policy Branch and senior author of the report: “Livestock are one of the most significant contributors to today’s most serious environmental problems. Urgent action is required to remedy the situation.”

God helps us for sure, but Hes has granted us free will. The future is in our hands. Go veg, today! Heave bless Planet Earth!
