Did You Want Calories With That?

In an effort to get New Yorkers to eat better and to inspire fast food restaurants to offer healthier options, the Board of Health voted on Tuesday for a second time to require fast food chains to prominently display the calorie content of their items on the menu. The first vote was struck down in federal court last September, but the judge said he would reconsider it if the law applied to more restaurants. Currently, ten percent of restaurants in NYC serve up fast food fair.
If you agree that menu labeling is an important public health priority,
by emailing your local governor and tell them to support menu labeling in your state.
