Another company made out well financially today, as Texas Instruments announced that their earning expectations will fall at the high end, if not above estimates laid out earlier this year. TI, who supplies chips for about half of the worlds cell phones, predicted that sales would range between $3.50 billion and $3.66 billion, compared to an earlier range of $3.40 billion to $3.68 billion. Cell phone chips aside, I have to personally thank TI for their amazing graphing calculators that helped me (and I suspect the young person below) get through high school math and science classes with passing grades and without boredom :
