Hisham Allam's investigations have led to six prosecutions in Egypt. A founder of the newspaper El Watan, he is an award-winning member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
Allam is also a member of 100 Reporters org, a media consultant at the United Nations, and a media trainer with Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism. His worked as an investigative reporting producer at the Egyptian network CBC TV from 2011 to 2013.
Allam has received awards in three countries, including the “Best Arab Investigative Unit” award in Egypt in 2012 and “The Grand Arab Spring Investigations Award” in Jordan in 2011. He also won the “Dubai Press Club” award in the United Arab Emirates in 2010 and the “Best Arab Environmental Investigation” award in Jordan in 2009.
