After three days of bloodshed, the French remain vigilant as police hunt down the last surviving suspect in the attacks.

Hayat Boumeddiene was the 26-year-old girlfriend of Amedy Coulibaly, 32, who allegedly killed four hostages at a Paris kosher deli on Friday. Coulibaly died during a stand-off with law enforcement. Police union spokesman Pascal Disant said that Boumeddiene might have served as his accomplice and escaped the scene as hostages ran away, according to CNN. Her involvement is still unclear, but authorities have asked the public for help in finding her.

“You must consider her as the companion of a dangerous terrorist who needs to be questioned,” UNSA police union spokesman Christophe Crepin told The Associated Press. “Since 2010, she has had a relationship with an individual whose ideology translates into violence and the execution of poor people who were just doing their shopping in a supermarket.”

Coulibaly is linked to the same terrorist network as brothers Saïd and Cherif Kouachi, who are suspected of carrying out the killings of 12 people at the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. As police raided the kosher deli on Friday, The New York Times reported, officers gunned down the two brothers at a warehouse just miles away.

A member of al-Qaida in Yemen has claimed responsibility for the Charlie Hebdo attack, telling the AP that it was “revenge for the honor” of Islam’s prophet Muhammad.
