These Kids Have Honest and Amazing Reactions To LGBT Marriage Proposals

They don't always get it, but kids are usually less hostile to the idea.

It's kind of impossible to pick which of these California kids has the best response to gay marriage proposals, but my favorite might be 7-year-old Samirah.

In the span of minutes, this adorable little girl goes full circle—from doubter to supporter—on responses to the civil rights struggle for gay marriage.

In the beginning, as she watches a gay couple's flashmob-dancing proposal, her blue eyes go wide and she throws up her hands in surprise before turning to ask the camera "How does a guy marry a guy?!"

Then we see her giving it thought and admitting "I'm just new to the concept"—at which point you want to congratulate her parents for having a kindof brilliant kid. Recognizing the difference between "unfamiliar" and "wrong" isn't always so intuitive, even for grownups.

And then finally, after watching videos and talking to brothers Benny and Rafi Fine about it, she blurts out about gay marriage "I'm a Christian, and I don't think it's wrong!"

Pretty smart, kiddo. The rest of America ought to follow suit.
