Life Advice Courtesy of Girl’s Room Graffiti (PHOTOS)

Sometimes the only way to get your message across is to write it in a bathroom stall.

Unsolicited advice for women abounds; in magazines, on the Internet, from those well-intentioned people you call your parents. But sometimes, you just need an objective third party to tell you what you really need to hear. And that assistance can show up in the most unlikely of places.

Girls Room Graff is a Tumblr full of ladies’ room life advice started last month by Megan Adamson-Jackes. On her site she writes,

Ladies' rooms have a special sort of graffiti. There's the average fodder but there's also a lot of advice. Advice on dating, self-empowerment, sex, etc. Some of it's wonderful and some of it's wonderfully terrible. This is an effort to document this graffiti unique to the ladies' rooms.

Sure, there are plenty of posts on GRG that include (gasp!) inappropriate language, but these are bathrooms, not your fourth-period English class.

Not everything that’s posted is a panacea for life’s ills—even Adamson-Jackes refers to some of it as “wonderfully terrible.” But a lot of what makes it on to GRG is liberating, funny and right on. And sometimes, it’s exactly what you need to hear.

For those who want to add to the collection, GRG is accepting submissions, so have at it.

We know you would never vandalize anyone else's property, but if you could write something for other women to see on a bathroom wall, what would it be? Leave it in the Comments.
