Sugary soft drinks will be the death of the youth. Kids should be drinking orange juice and eating muesli instead of swigging Coca-Cola and eating Fruit Loops for breakfast.
Except those seemingly more healthy options beat out the cola and rainbow-color cereal in terms of sugar content, as a new video from BuzzFeed shows. The difference is a matter of a few grams in terms of the beverages, but a serving of muesli, with 42 grams of sugar, comes close to doubling the amount in a bowl of Fruit Loops, which contains 24 grams.
Where else is sugar lurking? In that Cliff Bar you snacked on yesterday afternoon, for one. You could’ve “indulged” in one and a half Pop-Tarts instead, which has the equivalent amount of sweetener, 23 grams.
Seriously, is it possible to escape the stuff?
