As part of the social action campaign for the feature film Promised Land, (starring Matt Damon and John Krasinksi), our colleagues at Participant Media have launched the first ever pro-social Facebook Connect experience and digital toolkit for community action. 

The Facebook Connect experience harnesses the reach of Facebook features like friends and timeline to put you in the shoes of a community changemaker. As you track your own progress in solving a particular local issue, your friends and family members chime in and contribute along the way.

The digital toolkit provides users with an array of online, offiline, mobile and social media tools and resources to help you fix any situation in your own  community. There's even a separate version for elected officials.
