The Power of Slacktivism Infographic

The months-long, wall-to-wall coverage of Occupy Wall Street drove home the point: When people rise up together, people pay attention. But can one-click action online do the same thing? There are a lot of skeptics out there (hence the term “slacktivism”) but the success of the viral KONY 2012 video went a long way toward proving them wrong.

This inforgraphic shows slacktivists have had a huge impact on issues as varied as reversing bank fees to halting dolphin slaughter. Have you seen in it action? We want to know what you think: Is slactivism the future of social change, or a lot of hot air?
