Sick of being bled for bribes, taxed at every twist and denied a government allotment of Promised Land, a snake charmer named Hakkul, from the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, dumped a sack of poisonous serpents on the floor of the state’s tax office.
Video subtitles state that “chaos erupts,” but chaos is evidently a relative condition in India.
According to Transparency International, India is one of the globe’s more corrupt countries, and graft there has increased in the past year. India is also home to an excess of poisonous snakes that kill as many as 50,000 people every year. It’s just possible that Hakkul the charmer has devised a strategy to use one of these conditions to petition for change on the other.
