November is American Diabetes Month, a time to raise awareness about a disease that affects 25.8 million people in the U.S. alone. To help educate the public on diabetes and its risks, and to inspire readers into action, TakePart and MSN Health have launched a collaborative effort that brings together leading diabetes and health experts, diabetes-related organizations, and celebrities overcoming the disease.

You can check out the feature stories, tips, videos, and photo galleries on MSN Causes. Some of the stories include 10 Inspiring Celebrities Living With Diabetes and tips for parents on how to prepare for the challenges a child with diabetes may face in school.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calls diabetes an "epidemic,"  and their experts explain that in the next four decades, the number of U.S. adults with diabetes is estimated to double or even triple.

To help combat the crisis, MSN and TakePart offer several ways to get involved. Scroll down to the "Get Involved" section on the MSN Causes site to learn how to spread the word, share your story and make a major impact.

Make sure to check back to MSN Causes every week for more stories and tips on preventing and living with diabetes.
