The holiday season is right around the corner and if you're racking your brain trying to figure out what to buy for your friends and family, Ethical Ocean is a great place to start.

The online store sells all kinds of goods from clothes and accessories to handy items for the kitchen. What makes them unique is that each product tells a story and must qualify for at least one designation—good for people, good for animals, or good for the environment.

This year Ethical Ocean has a Holiday Helper Elf to help you make the right gift choice for your loved one. All you have to do is type in who you are buying for, what their interests are, and what issues they care about. After you submit the information, you are given a bunch of gifts to choose from.

One gift in particular appealed to us this month. For Movember—the time of year when men grow mustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health—Oliberté Footwear will donate 10 percent of their sales to support prostate cancer initiatives through Movember South Africa. You'll even get a Mo keychain with your order.

Oliberté shoes are great not only because of this campaign, but also because they are made ethically in Ethiopia, Liberia and Kenya and are helping to provide jobs.
