Today, TakePart asked its Food, Inc community a simple question: What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Within an hour, more than a thousand replies flooded in.
A quick look at the responses reveals that Food, Inc. fans are definitely voting with their forks—organic and local options were the majority!
We grabbed thirty of the breakfast ideas to kick off the month of April. Next time you're struggling to shake up your morning routine, try some of these.
Annaleigh Novak: Spinach, peach, cantaloupe, date smoothie and a slice of crustless quiche, courtesy of our free range, pasture fed chickens.
Cristina Hampton: Organic sprouted tofu scramble with broccoli and zucchini... And fresh milled whole wheat cinnamon rolls with raisins and earth balance.... Orange zest frosting...an amazing homemade breakfast... Vegan style!
April Donahue: Smoothie made of: coconut milk, frozen blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, fresh spinach, and ground flax seeds. It's a great pick me up any time of day!
Tiffany O'Neill: Oatmeal with organic yogurt and cinnamon and hot green tea!
