"Now if that doesn't inspire you, if that doesn't make you feel good about America and the possibilities of our young people when they apply themselves to science and math, I don't know what will." —President Obama, speaking about the accomplishments of 16-year-old Amy Chyao, who earned a trip to the Intel Science and Engineering Fair at the White House for her work developing a device to activate a particular cancer drug.
Chyao taught herself chemistry and will continue to do research with the biology team at the University of Texas at Dallas.
