Support the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence is a Washington, D.C.-based organization that seeks to stop gun violence through policy advocacy, research and strategic engagement. The coalition is made up of 48 national organizations that include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, the National Urban League, Inc. and the United Federation of Teachers, all working toward decreasing gun violence.
Among the organization’s campaigns: advocating for bans against assault weapons, establishing more federal laws to reduce gun violence, and fighting for legislation requiring microstamping, a ballistic identification system that allows police to trace guns used in crimes. Through the coalition’s online Action Center you can contact your local officials about these and other issues.
