Kahlil Gibran, a Lebanese writer and artist, is revered for his contributions in the literary world, in particular his best-selling novel The Prophet. Since 1987, the American Committee for Kahlil Gibran Stamp has been pushing for a commemorative U.S. postage stamp to celebrate the acclaimed author.
