Pledge to Stop Prop 8
In Novemeber 2008, California voted to ban same sex marriage. On February 7, 2012, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Prop 8 was unconstitutional, finding that it violated the 14th Amendment. Currently there is a stay in place on the ruling, barring any gay and lesbian couples from getting married. There is hope that the Supreme Court will review the issue in the future.
