Opt for Recycled Paper Products
Even though they can't pick up their roots and run, trees are kinda like superheros. On a chemical level, they help filter the air and reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. On a structural level, they provide a root structure that prevents run-off of top soil, which keeps grounds fertile for other vegetation and animals. And on a functional level, they provide homes for creatures ranging from birds to bears.
Humans also rely on trees to build their own homes, for paper to print on and tissues for sneezing. But if we use up trees for these purposes, there won't be many awesome trees left!
Save the lives of trees by sending a message to paper manufactures with your voice and with your dollar. Ask manufactures to stop using virgin wood in their products and instead to make use of post-consumer fibers to make new, recycled goods.
