Fight Human Trafficking with Polaris Project

In September 2012, President Obama announced the first ever official assessment of human trafficking in the United States. Despite limited information, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimates that at least 100,000 children in the U.S. are trafficked for sex each year.
Organizations like Polaris Project are working to combat human trafficking in all its forms, through public outreach and policy advocacy. Educating yourself is the first step toward making a difference. Learn about sex trafficking in the U.S., and then make a commitment to do something about it.
Even educating someone else about this horrible scourge can be a powerful action in the fight. Write a letter, plan a movie night, or send an article or book to a friend.
