In "The Soloist" Steve Lopez uses his time, talent and money to help Nathanial Anthony Ayers after realizing that he has a chance to help make a difference. Lopez started small, and then a friendship grew out of it that would change both of their lives forever.

You can start small too - look through your closet and storage areas for things you you don't use anymore. Schedule a pickup from The Salvation Army or drop it off at any of the locations. Every little bit will help to support families in need across the U.S.
