Conditions for animals at the Manila Zoo in the Philippines are bleak. An investigation by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) reported animals living in small, cramped cages with barely any medical care. Mali, a 35-year old elephant and star attraction at the zoo, is at risk for developing serious health problems without proper treatment.
And now the zoo is asking for more animals.
PETA is petitioning the mayor of Manila to stop the transfer before it's too late. Sign their petition to prevent more animals from suffering and to tell the Manila Zoo that they need to improve conditions for their existing animals!
