Action Alert! Tell Congress to Regulate Toxins in Cosmetics
On March 27, the U.S. Energy and Commerce Committee has scheduled a Congressional hearing to discuss the outdated laws that regulate toxins in our cosmetics.
Guys, there really is lead in lipstick, mercury in face cream and other toxins that are dangerous to your health. This meeting is a step in the right direction, however, organizations such as the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics are wary of what will come out of the hearing. They are hoping safety standards will be put in place, labeling loopholes will be addressed and that the FDA will be able to recall hazardous products like Brazilian Blowout.
