This is the time for the world to show solidarity with the people of Pakistan. Spearheaded by musician and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador Salman Ahmad, a special event was held on Sept. 12, 2009 that brought together a range of well-known artists and personalities in a display of unity.

The refugees do not have access to electricity, clean water, or medical care and are in dire need of humanitarian assistance. The concert for Pakistan both raised awareness about the issue and raised funding for UNHCR relief efforts in Pakistan.
