Haitian Orphans Find a Second Home
Texas family adopts 11 kids
HERE'S THE THING ABOUT THE SCHNEIDERS OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS: Their hearts were open long before the quake. Ange and Paul Schneider adopted their first child from Port-au-Prince in 2002 and never looked back. Two more kids—Jessica and John, numbers 10 and 11—made their way from a shelter in the decimated capital to Pflugerville last week. But they were only allowed to go because the Schneiders started the process before the quake; all new adoptions have been put on hold by the Haitian government. The lesson? Don't wait to act on your instincts to TakePart.
