We sure do like our video games. So much so that Amazon is reporting that they sold 17 Wii’s a second this holiday season. Nintendo’s latest and most innovative video game console was Amazon’s top seller for a year that they are boasting was their best ever. This is interesting as many retailers are reporting the worst holiday season sales results they have had in some time.Seems folks like clicking to purchase their presents instead of actually having their credit card swiped. I have to admit that it was much easier on me to order some gifts online, not to mention that I could have them sent to directly to my Christmas destination instead of having to deal with bringing them to the increasingly difficult airport. And come to think of it, most of the gifts I received were actually ordered online.I can’t help but wonder if this has to do with that fact that the internet is huge and has so many more amazing creative gift options than say the local Wal-Mart.
