Pass the Porn, Please.

I like porn. Lot’s of folks do. Whether it’s a late night Skinomax flick or a quick ditty from Youporn.com, I think a little porn can be a healthy addition to one’s sex life. It can be educational. It can spice up a relationship. And quite simply, it can be good times.

Yes, while there is plenty of porn that is indeed disgusting, degrading, and down right horrifying there are also equal amounts of lots that’s fun, fascinating, and fantastic. I’m sorry, but I will never think all porn is bad.

I think we’re becoming desensitized to porn. Between easy Internet porn access and celebrities “leaking” sex tapes left and right, porn is moving more and more into the mainstream.

A study reported last week that “college students, including young women, are far more accepting of pornography than their parents, a shift that might be related to easy access to porn on the Internet. Most young women in the study said they personally did not use porn, but nearly half said viewing X-rated material was an acceptable way to express sexuality. Only 37% of the fathers and 20% of the mothers surveyed agreed.”

The study also “linked regular porn use with risky behaviors saying regular porn users were more likely to go on drinking binges and more likely to have sex with multiple partners.”

Drinking binges? Uh oh, am I watching more porn than I thought? Because that may explain my problem with this.
