Frankenfoods: A Cautionary Claymation

If you know anything about genetically modified crops, you know what a scary pandora’s box of potential problems they pose. Monsanto’s “Round-Up Ready” crops have already led to the rise of herbicide-resistant uber-weeds, and wherever a farmer plants GMO seeds, the wind has a way of carrying those seeds onto neighboring farms, contaminating the conventional or organic crops that non-GMO farmers are trying to grow.GMOs could be a real nightmare for nature, so no wonder Lauren Adolfson felt compelled to create her claymation horror short, “Snack Mansion,” in which a group of wacky, snacky action figures partying at an abandoned mansion fall prey to”well, I don’t want to give away the whole corny plot.
